Power for sites that
can’t afford to stop
From groundworks to fit-out, JAM Power keeps construction sites running — silently, cleanly, and without the fuel bills. Battery storage that works as hard as your team.
Replace diesel. Keep productivity.
JAM Power BESS units sit alongside your existing site infrastructure — or replace it entirely. Connect your site distribution board, run your tools, welfare units, lighting and plant, and watch the fuel bills drop by up to 70%.
The units arrive pre-charged and ready to power on delivery. No commissioning window, no specialist electrician required for connection. A standard 63A 3-phase CEE plug — the same as your generator — and you’re live in under an hour.
Need to run overnight? Pair with a generator on hybrid mode. The BESS handles the base load and peaks silently while the generator kicks in only when absolutely needed — cutting run hours by 60–80% compared to a generator-only setup.
What diesel actually costs you
Based on a typical medium construction site running a 60kVA diesel generator. Costs are indicative — use our calculator for a figure based on your site.
* Figures based on diesel at £1.20/L, 60kVA generator at 12L/hr, 250 working days. Actual savings vary by site load profile. Calculate your site →

Construction site FAQs
For many sites, yes — particularly for welfare, lighting and tool supplies where the load is predictable and the site works standard hours. For sites with unpredictable peak loads or 24-hour operations, a hybrid setup (BESS primary, generator backup) is usually the right answer. Our team will assess your load profile and recommend the right configuration.
JAM Lite units can be delivered same-day or next-day across most of the UK. JAM Pro units typically arrive within 48 hours. Setup is minimal — the unit arrives pre-charged, you connect a 63A 3-phase CEE plug (the same as your existing generator), and it’s live. Most sites are powered up within an hour of delivery.
No. Connection uses a standard 63A 3-phase CEE industrial plug — identical to most generator connections. If your site already has a distribution board connected to a generator, the JAM Pro plugs straight in as a like-for-like replacement. No special permits, no DNO notification required for standard hire deployments.
Yes. JAM Power units use LiFePO₄ (lithium iron phosphate) chemistry — the only lithium battery technology classified as having zero thermal runaway risk. They carry full UKCA and CE certification, are IP54 rated for outdoor use, and come with full documentation for your site safety file and contractor approval processes.
Absolutely. JAM Power BESS units produce zero exhaust emissions at point of use and have no NRMM classification. They are fully compliant with all UK Low Emission Zones, Clean Air Zones and Ultra Low Emission Zones. On London sites, they meet GLA and TfL requirements without any additional permitting.
The smart BMS monitors state of charge in real time and alerts our team and yours via 4G telemetry. On hybrid setups, the generator automatically picks up the load if the BESS drops below a set threshold. For standalone deployments, we size the unit to your daily load profile with a buffer — unexpected peaks are managed by the BMS’s priority load shedding.
Yes. Both the JAM Pro and JAM Max have MPPT solar charge inputs built in. If your site has suitable roof area or open ground, a solar array can charge the BESS during daylight hours — reducing or eliminating the need for grid or generator charging entirely. Our team can advise on array sizing for your site.
