No noise.
No fumes.
No compromise.
The production industry is moving to battery power. JAM Power delivers clean, silent energy for location shoots, studio complexes and post-production facilities — so the only thing you hear is the take.
Power that doesn’t make the cut
A JAM Power unit on set is completely inaudible. No diesel rumble in the background, no frequency interference with your audio, no exclusion zone around the genny. Position it wherever it’s convenient — inside, outside, in the art department tent — and run cable to your distribution.
For location shoots in challenging environments — heritage buildings, National Parks, built-up residential areas — BESS is increasingly the only viable power option. Our units are approved for use in locations where internal combustion engines are prohibited.
The production industry’s push toward Albert certification and sustainable production frameworks is making BESS the default choice. JAM Power provides the documentation your sustainability coordinator needs to report zero scope 1 emissions on location.

Film & TV FAQs
No. JAM Power units produce zero acoustic noise and the inverter output is a clean sine wave with no electromagnetic interference. We’ve been used on productions recording to 32-bit float with no issues. Our units have been tested alongside professional audio equipment from all major manufacturers.
Yes. The JAM Pro’s 125kW continuous output and clean sine wave are well suited to HMI ballasts. We’d recommend discussing your lighting plot with us so we can confirm the unit is correctly sized for your peak load — HMIs have high inrush current at strike that needs to be accounted for.
Yes. Because our units produce no exhaust, no vibration and no fuel spillage risk, they are approved for locations where internal combustion engines are prohibited. We have documentation from Historic England, National Trust and several National Park authorities confirming BESS is an acceptable power source where generators are not permitted.
Using BESS on location eliminates scope 1 carbon emissions from your power supply. JAM Power provides a usage report for each hire showing kWh consumed and the resulting CO₂ saving versus diesel. This data feeds directly into your Albert carbon calculator and supports certification applications for BAFTA, Netflix, BBC and other frameworks.
Yes. We hire from a single day. For one-day location shoots, the JAM Lite typically delivers same-day or next-morning on a standard van. For multi-day productions, we can arrange a fixed unit on a weekly or monthly rate — usually more cost-effective than daily hire for anything over five days.
